Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU/CCU night shift position at a smaller independent Colorado hospital, requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and Day 0 CVICU competency.
Details
- CVICU and CCU setting within a smaller independent community hospital located on the I-70 corridor between Denver and Grand Junction, CO, minutes from Vail and Aspen
- Facility operates 2 Cath Labs, including 1 Hybrid Cath Lab
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with weekend rotation
- On-call rotation required: 1 call shift per 2-week period, if requested due to staffing needs
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license in good standing (Nursys verification required)
- Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 3 years of RN critical care experience required
- Day 0 CVICU experience required
- Strong CVICU clinical skills required
- Flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted); must be from the current flu season and is required October 1 through April 1
- Valid Date of Birth (DOB) or Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- A Colorado CAPS (Child Abuse Prevention System) background check is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should initiate this process as early as possible
- Hospital-owned furnished housing is available approximately half a block from the facility for rent directly through the facility; contact your American Traveler recruiter for details
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded but strong CVICU experience is a hard requirement
