Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Friday–Sunday day shift travel assignment in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years OR experience and robotic surgery skills.
Details
- Located in a large hospital OR department with 30 operating rooms and 3 lithotripsy suites
- Procedures include general, GYN, urology (open and robotic), orthopedic (no spine), plastics, and pediatric general and ortho surgery
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Equipment includes da Vinci Robot, Mako Robot, Rosa Robot, Trumpf bed, LigaSure, Erbe, NovaSure, MyoSure, TruClear, Neptune, Harmonic, Force Triad, FT10, Storz Video, and orthopedic equipment
- EMR: Meditech
- Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 7:30 AM–7:00 PM (day shift)
- Call is required unless working a weekend or night shift; three call teams available: Neuro, Transplant, or General
- Floating not required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- General surgery experience required
- Robotic surgery experience required
- Neuro OR experience preferred
- Transplant experience preferred
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Scrub color: RN royal blue; scrubs may be purchased at Scrubs & Beyond or hospital-provided scrubs may be worn
- Holiday coverage is required for any of the following holidays that fall during the contract: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Neuro and transplant experience are preferred and will be prioritized during candidate selection
