Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Neuro Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of Level 1 Trauma OR experience, prior travel experience, and strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy skills.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 25 rooms and approximately 45–60 cases per day
- Neuro OR team with cases including simple 1-level to complex 10+ level spine surgeries, spine tumors, neuro trauma, craniotomies, and DBS procedures
- Day shift with 8- and 12-hour shifts and on-call requirements (D8D12 with call)
- Weekday call consists of 2 eight-hour shifts per schedule (2330–0700); weekend call consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts per schedule (0700–1930 or 1900–0730)
- 40 hours per week
- Floating to other service lines within the main OR is required as needed
- EMR: Epic (OpTime module)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Strong experience with neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy procedures required
- Must be able to respond on-site within 45 minutes when on call

- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates must be available for both weekday and weekend on-call shifts as scheduled
