Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN - Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery OR unit in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and Level 1 trauma background.

• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Level 1 trauma experience of 6+ months required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• Level 1 trauma experience of 6+ months required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect professional nursing care of patients in the operating room throughout the perioperative continuum
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all care components using the nursing process
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer
• All AHA certifications must be from the American Heart Association only
• BSN is preferred but not required
