Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-risk OB unit in Lexington, KY, requiring active KY or compact RN licensure and night shift availability.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting, featuring 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, a 3-bed OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care
- High-risk patient population including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
- Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, care coordination, and facilitation of admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Clinical practice is evidence-based and guided by nursing process, critical thinking, and hospital policies
- Participation in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing is expected
- Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
