Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTAC ICU position requiring ventilator/trach experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes complex, critically ill patients requiring ventilator management, trach care, central line care, and telemetry monitoring
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating to inpatient units (MSU) may be required as needed

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Ventilator and trach management experience required
• Central line management experience required
• Telemetry capability required
• CCU experience or direct ventilator experience in a rehab hospital required
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional references required, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• No prior disciplinary history on nursing license

Additional Information

• Candidates must pass two pass/fail exams at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each allows only one attempt, and contract cancellation will occur immediately upon failure
• Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and facility-directed instruction (FDI) period prior to exams
