Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Burn Unit PCU position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Located in Nashville, TN at a hospital-based Progressive Care/Burn Unit
• 12-bed unit serving both ICU-level burn patients (2:1 ratio) and med/surg or PCU patients (4:1 ratio)
• Unit is staffed with a Charge RN, RNs, and PCTs
• Equipment used includes ventilators, specialty beds, and occasionally CRRT
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Contract labor floats first per unit floating policy
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license — Tennessee or Compact state license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for this unit
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a PCU or related specialty
• Med/surg background required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must remain valid through at least the first 30 days of the assignment
