Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in a regional hospital setting serving a broad patient population including adults and pediatrics
- Night shift schedule: 7p-7a
- Every other weekend required
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
- EMR: MediTech
- Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license or compact license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred but not required
- HWC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- AHA-issued certifications required
Additional Information
- Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
- Onboarding requires an Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions), fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
- A 10-panel drug screening including opiates is required
- Mandatory Reporter certification (child and adult) required prior to start
- Immunization titers must be from within the last 12 months
- Monday or Tuesday start dates are available
