Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, prior travel experience, and active AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
Details
- 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- High-acuity patient population with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1-2:1
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- On-call required: 12 hours within each 6-week scheduling period
- EMR: Epic
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float, with possible float to sister campuses located within 15-20 minutes of the primary facility
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course (completed and passed) required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course and EFM certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to manage high-acuity L&D patients required
- Nursing degree from an accredited program required, or minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Travelers are welcomed into the unit and are expected to function as core staff
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- Scrub color: Galaxy Blue and/or White
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved afterward
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; this rule is strictly enforced
- Documents required for consideration include: copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and accreditation verification for nursing school
- No references are required for consideration
