Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a regional health center in Ottumwa, IA, requiring TNCC certification and a valid IA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a 217-licensed-bed regional health center Emergency Department with 17 beds
- Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, with approximately 40 visits per day
- Patient ratio is 1:6
- EMR is MediTech
- Shift is nights, 7p–7a
- Every other weekend required
- On-call coverage required to support daily volume and 24/7 call coverage needs
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC — AHA-issued certifications required
- Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience required
- Experience in a similarly sized facility preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
Additional Information
- Weekly orientations are available; mid-week starts are allowed, excluding Wednesdays (Monday or Tuesday starts permitted)
- Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required to clear prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
- All background check counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start
- Mandatory Reporter certification required (both Child and Adult)
- Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
- Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be from within the last 12 months
