Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience for an evening shift contract at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• Works in the X-Ray department of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Covers ED, inpatient, portables, and OR settings
• Must be willing to work with pediatric and neonatal patients
• Uses GE, Philips, and CareStream equipment
• EMR: Epic and Sectra (experience preferred)
• 5x8 hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• May float to other departments as needed
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Experience in high-volume, high-acuity hospital environments with diverse and complex cases
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT-accredited radiologic technology program
• Proficiency with radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment operation
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• This is a high-acuity trauma center that manages complex, fast-paced, and high-volume cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not a strong fit for this role
• Will work alongside radiology students and perform competency check-offs
• Mask fit test is required prior to starting
• Local candidates are accepted
