Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring at least 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience along with Epic proficiency.
Details
- Day shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (5:00 AM–5:30 PM), with 4x12 scheduling available upon request
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 277-bed acute care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Floating between like units within the state is required
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
- Orientation is 36 hours
- Scrubs are provided for L&D staff
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience required
- Prior Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Holiday coverage expectations apply per facility policy
