Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN - Case Manager for an inpatient hospital position in Oregon, requiring an active OR RN license, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of inpatient case management experience.

• Inpatient Case Manager role within a hospital setting
• Focus areas include discharge planning, long-stay management, and care coordination
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30) with a variable schedule
• Weekend rotation required — one full weekend every third weekend
• Epic EMR experience required
• May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• BSN or MSN required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient Case Manager experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required — Charge RN references are not acceptable
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include concurrent and retrospective medical record review, insurance authorization documentation, and coordinating discharge plans and community transitions
• Preferred experience includes knowledge of Medicare/insurance guidelines, complex discharges, DME, Home Health, Hospice, SNF placements, and prior authorizations
• Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction
• Candidates who were previously employed or on assignment at the associated health system must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them
• Former staff must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks
