Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN - Case Manager for an inpatient hospital position in Oregon, requiring an active OR RN license, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of inpatient case management experience.
Details
- Inpatient Case Manager role within a hospital setting
- Focus areas include discharge planning, long-stay management, and care coordination
- Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30) with a variable schedule
- Weekend rotation required — one full weekend every third weekend
- Epic EMR experience required
- May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
Requirements
- Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- BSN or MSN required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient Case Manager experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required — Charge RN references are not acceptable
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include concurrent and retrospective medical record review, insurance authorization documentation, and coordinating discharge plans and community transitions
- Preferred experience includes knowledge of Medicare/insurance guidelines, complex discharges, DME, Home Health, Hospice, SNF placements, and prior authorizations
- Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction
- Candidates who were previously employed or on assignment at the associated health system must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them
- Former staff must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks
- First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
