Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position in Tennessee, requiring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
Details
- 23-bed Cardiac Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit
- Patient population consists of cardiac diagnoses, including sheath management and external pacemaker care
- Patients range from young adults through late adults (ages 18–60+)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 based on patient acuity
- Variable staffing grid includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; RN assumes full responsibility for their patient team
- Day shift: 06:45–19:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact RN license with TN as state of residence)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Cardiac stepdown or intermediate care experience required
- Must successfully complete a proctored cardiac rhythm test
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address (no international addresses)
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac nursing care to intermediate-level patients, including those requiring sheath management and external pacemaker monitoring
- Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
- Candidates may only be submitted to one Ascension position system-wide
