Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Stepdown (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience, AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, and a TN or Compact RN license.

Details

• 24-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pre- and post-cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and other related cardiac disorders
• Patients served range from young adults through late adults (ages 18–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1
• Variable staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns (NIs); RNs assume full responsibility for their patient team
• Day shift: 06:45–19:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Cardiac stepdown or PCU experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

• Candidates must successfully complete a proctored cardiac rhythm test
