Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown (PCU) position requiring a TN or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS, with a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pre- and post-cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and related cardiac disorders
• Patients served range from young adults through late adults (ages 18–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1
• Staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; RNs hold full responsibility for their patient team
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Cardiac stepdown or PCU experience required
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to post-cardiac surgery and acute cardiac patients in a stepdown/intermediate care setting
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on distance from the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
