Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care facility in Vermont, requiring advanced fetal monitoring certification and night shift availability.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery unit in a 61-bed acute care facility
  • Unit consists of 7 total rooms, a nursery licensed for 11 bassinets, and 9 maternity beds, with overflow rooms available adjacent to the unit
  • Level One Nursery — higher-risk births are transferred to a tertiary center
  • Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
  • Cerner EMR
  • Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • Floating within scope may occasionally be required, though infrequently anticipated
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active VT or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Labor & delivery and postpartum experience preferred
  • BSN not required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • RN may scrub to receive the neonate from the sterile field during C-sections, but full scrub or circulating duties are not required
  • This facility is not a trauma center
