Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 17-week Emergency Center travel assignment requiring 5+ years of ED experience, MEDITECH proficiency, and a full complement of emergency certifications including TNCC.

Details

• Acute care hospital Emergency Center (ER) setting
• Treats a broad patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neuro cases; serves as a CVA center
• Ventilated patients are held in the ER until admitted, with 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapy support
• Behavioral health patients are managed in a 6-bed locked psychiatric unit staffed by psych personnel
• Patient volume is approximately 180–200 visits per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Nursing staff are responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts
• Staffed by 5–6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift and dedicated security/patient sitters
• Central monitoring tech on staff; pharmacy is in-department 11 hours per day and on-campus 24/7
• Charge nurse coverage available
• 12-hour day shifts, 9a–9p
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Charting via MEDITECH 6.15; experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia (GA) or a compact state license currently in hand
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• MEDITECH EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (or ASLS), and CPI
• Driver's license must be provided for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement

Additional Information

• Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts and must be completed during the first week of the assignment
• Caribbean Blue scrubs are required
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
• Any requested time off must be included at the time of initial assignment confirmation
