Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience, Level 1 trauma background, and Siemens proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment at an academic teaching hospital in Missouri.
Details
- CT Scan unit within an academic teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma designation
- Patient population includes ICU, trauma, general anesthesia, sedation, and inpatient cases
- Advanced imaging protocols include CT Cardiac, stroke perfusion, and trauma CT
- Siemens equipment experience required; McKesson and Cerner systems in use
- Cerner charting preferred
- 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage required if a holiday falls within the assigned shift
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of overall experience with at least 1 year of CT specialty experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Active BLS, ARRT, and CT certification required
- Hands-on experience with Siemens CT equipment required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Must be able to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
- Active MO or Compact license required for consideration — license required if applicable
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Operate advanced CT imaging protocols including CT Cardiac, stroke perfusion, and trauma studies across a wide range of patient acuity levels
- Evaluate images for technical quality and assign appropriate priority levels for radiologist review
- Maintain accurate patient records and utilize PACS for image archiving
- Provide orientation, education, and training for new technologists and student technologists
- Assist in educating new physicians including interns, residents, fellows, and attendings as applicable
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicists to develop new protocols and techniques
- Position is physically active and involves frequent ambulation, reaching, and patient handling
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; candidates residing within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced pay rate
