Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ECMO Specialist RN for a pediatric hospital setting, requiring Cardio Help experience and the ability to manage both VA and VV ECMO.

Details

  • Pediatric hospital setting specializing in ECMO care for cardiac and non-cardiac patients
  • ECMO Specialist unit with float responsibilities to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed
  • Manages patients on both VA ECMO and VV ECMO circuits
  • When no ECMO patients are present, functions as a bedside ICU nurse caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Every 3rd weekend required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NE or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Cardio Help equipment experience required
  • Proficiency managing both VA ECMO and VV ECMO required

Additional Information

  • Serves as pump specialist for pediatric patients requiring ECMO support for cardiac and non-cardiac indications
