Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - ECMO Specialist for a pediatric setting requiring Cardio Help experience and the ability to manage both VA and VV ECMO patients.
Details
- Pediatric specialty hospital setting within an ECMO Specialist unit
- Patients include both cardiac and non-cardiac cases requiring VA ECMO or VV ECMO support
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Floating required to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU based on unit need
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every 3rd weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NE or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardio Help (ECMO pump) experience required
- Proficiency managing both VA ECMO and VV ECMO required
Additional Information
- Serves as pump specialist for pediatric patients on ECMO for cardiac and non-cardiac indications
- When no ECMO patients are present, functions as a bedside ICU nurse caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients depending on unit census
