Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Medical Oncology ICU position at a major academic medical center, requiring ICU experience with central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressor titration on night shifts.
Details
- Adult Medical Oncology ICU unit (Weinberg 5C) within a large academic hospital setting
- Mixed unit serving both ICU and floor-level oncology patients
- Patient population includes adult oncology bone marrow transplant (BMT), hematologic malignancies, and solid tumor malignancies
- Requires management of central lines, arterial lines, vasopressor titration, and cardiac monitoring
- Preferred equipment experience includes Alaris pumps and CRRT
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage as needed by the unit
- No on-call required
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact state currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Critical Care Certification preferred
- ICU experience required
- Experience with central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressor titration required
- Acute care and telemetry (tele) experience required
- Oncology experience preferred
- CRRT experience preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- 13-week contract
