Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care IR experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Located in the Vascular Radiology department on the 1st floor of the main hospital building
• Unit consists of a 5-bay holding room, a 3-room IR suite, and a 3-room CT suite
• Staffed by 5 RNs and 5 Radiologic Technologists
• Day shift hours are 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with an on-call requirement through the night; night shift is call-only
• Patient ratio is 1:1 during procedures; 3–4 patients in the holding room depending on acuity
• Procedures performed include kyphoplasty, Y-90, peripheral interventions, stroke and trauma cases, diagnostic cerebral cases, drain placements, biopsies, thrombolysis, and neuro coiling cases
• Documentation uses Maclab and paper charting
• EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care IR RN hospital experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities is preferred
• Ideal candidates are flexible, able to work across different radiology modalities throughout the day, and prioritize patient care
• Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
