Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care Level III trauma center, requiring ARDMS RDCS AE or CCI RCS certification and ICU experience.

Details

  • Work in the Echo/Cardiac Sonography department of a 252-bed short-term acute care Level III trauma center affiliated with the Yale New Haven Health System
  • Vascular ultrasound and echocardiography focus
  • 5x8-hour day shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM depending on department need (shifts run 7:00–15:30 or 9:00–17:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating within the department as needed per scheduling requirements
  • Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

  • ARDMS RDCS (Adult Echo) or CCI RCS certification required
  • ICU experience required
  • Must have experience starting IVs or be willing to train on IV placement
  • License required if applicable
  • 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform vascular ultrasound and echocardiography procedures
  • Teal scrubs required
  • Free parking available on site
  • Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
  • Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved during the contract
