Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of critical care experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 trauma facility for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Critical care experience in both MICU and SICU settings required
• Experience with lung protective ventilation required
• Participation on Code Blue team
• Experience with Level III NICU preferred
• Experience with Dräger XL and V500 ventilators preferred

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• MA Respiratory Care license required (if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• NPS and/or ACCS certifications preferred
• Minimum 4 years of recent experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 trauma facility
• Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU required
• Ability to make ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• Permanent residence must be 30 miles or more from the facility
• Two professional references on file required — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), and must include a performance evaluation; one evaluation must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Manage and adjust ventilator settings based on patient assessment and lab results
• Respond to Code Blue events as part of the rapid response team
• References from fellow travelers are not accepted
• At least one reference from a prior travel or temporary assignment is preferred
