Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Clyde, NC, with at least 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine and stress lab procedures.
Details
- Work in the Nuclear Medicine department of a 153-bed, Joint Commission Accredited Duke Lifepoint community hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
- Specialty focus includes nuclear medicine and stress lab procedures
- Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Caseload of approximately 4–5 patients per day
- Equipment includes GE imaging systems; EHR is Paragon
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekend call on Saturdays and Sundays, with on-call hours from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Candidates with additional imaging modalities may have the opportunity to float
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine and stress lab
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification required
- AHA BLS certification required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Active licensure required if applicable
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging and cardiac stress lab procedures across a diverse patient population
- Orientation is offered on a bi-weekly schedule
- Black scrubs required
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- Located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville and within driving distance of the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg (1.25 hrs), Knoxville (1.5 hrs), and Greenville, SC (1.5 hrs)
