Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pre-Op/PACU travel position in Kerrville, TX, requiring prior Pre-Op/PACU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Pre-Op and PACU unit within a regional medical center
• Alternates between Pre-Op and PACU roles
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (6:00–14:30), with rotation start times beginning as early as 5:30–8:00 AM, known in advance
• Late shifts are shared and assigned on rotation with all staff
• Floating required between the surgery center and main hospital campus
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• CAPA and/or CPAN certification preferred
• Prior Pre-Op and/or PACU experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas's wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
