Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Day Surgery/Procedures (Pre-Op/Post-Op Phase II) position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 3 years of relevant RN experience and availability for evening/weekend call rotations.
Details
- Day Surgery Unit setting focused on Pre-Op and Post-Op Phase II patient care
- Procedures unit environment handling a variety of surgical and procedural cases (non-chemotherapy)
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week with an evening/weekend call rotation
- EMR is currently Meditech with a planned transition to Epic during the assignment period
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in good standing (Nursys verification required)
- Current AHA certifications required prior to start date: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience in Day Surgery, Procedures, or IV Infusion (non-chemotherapy); PACU or CCU experience also required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved RN program
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions accepted
- DOB or SSN required for consideration
- Proof of flu vaccine required for consideration
Additional Information
- Plans and coordinates quality nursing care for pre-operative and post-operative Phase II patients in accordance with ANA Standards of Nursing Practice
- Works cooperatively with clinical staff while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice
- The CAPS (Colorado Adult Protective Services) background check is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should apply promptly
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
