Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience across various specialties and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

• Hospital operating room setting
• Experience with various surgical specialties required
• Schedule is four 10-hour shifts per day, Monday through Friday (6:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-call requirement of one weekend per month and one call day per week
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required (no pending licenses)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience in a US hospital
• Experience across various surgical specialties required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
• Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all equipment is functional and supplies/implants are available
• Adheres to aseptic technique standards and department protocols
• Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• All certifications must be AHA-issued
