Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Ortho Neuro unit position in Wichita, KS, requiring a valid KS or compact RN license and experience with orthopedic/neurological patient populations.
Details
- 41-bed Med/Surg unit with an orthopedic focus, including spine and joint surgery patients
- Orthopedic and neurological patient population
- Day shift: 07:00–19:30
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- MOAB De-Escalation Training required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Skills checklist required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients, including those recovering from spine and joint surgeries
- Holiday coverage is required for both July 4th and Labor Day
- Local candidates may be considered, though a radius rule applies that may affect the pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
