Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Cath Lab/Interventional position in New Jersey, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Interventional/Cath Lab RN role within a hospital operating room setting
• Cares for a surgical patient population across the perioperative continuum, including pre-operative and post-operative care
• 12-hour AM shifts (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM), 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• On-call is required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required on an as-needed basis
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (NJ or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Additional Information

• Performs thorough, systematic patient assessments across the pediatric to geriatric continuum
• Provides perioperative nursing care, individualizing care based on the procedure and type of anesthesia
• Conducts pre-admission testing (PAT) evaluations, assessing orders for appropriateness relative to proposed surgery, patient age, and current health status
• Responsible for complete and accurate nursing documentation, including patient education and progress toward outcomes
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Two professional references are required for consideration
