Description
American Traveler is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 4+ years of experience, ARRT certifications, and Hologic equipment proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center in New Haven, CT.
Details
- Position is based at a large, Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,567 staffed beds
- Requires floating between 4 outpatient/medical center sites in the New Haven, CT area, including locations in Guilford, North Haven, and New Haven
- Some sites operate with late evening hours until 8:30 PM
- Schedule is Monday–Friday with shifts of either 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 12:00–8:30 PM as needed, plus every other Saturday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- When scheduled for a Saturday, a weekday off will be provided in exchange
- Schedule is posted one week in advance
- 5x8-hour shifts
- Charting is done in Epic
- Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of Ultrasound/Sonography experience required
- ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications required
- Experience with Hologic equipment required
- Large facility and Trauma Center experience required
- State license required if applicable; pending licenses accepted provided they are active prior to start date
- BLS required
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster are required, with religious and medical exemptions available
- Teal scrub tops and bottoms are required
