Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night shift contract, requiring at least 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population.

Details

• Hospital setting serving emergency, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Patient population ranges from newborns to geriatric patients
• Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and delivers all modalities of respiratory care from basic to advanced
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Unrestricted CO Respiratory Therapist (RT) license required, or ability to obtain prior to start date — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Advanced Provider)
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonates preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Must be physically able to safely function in a high-altitude, low-oxygen environment (approximately 8,000 ft elevation)
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to patients across all hospital areas, including the ED, inpatient units, and outpatient settings
• No RTO (time off requests) will be accepted for this assignment
• The position is located in a high-altitude area; candidates must be prepared to work in a low-oxygen environment at approximately 8,000 ft elevation
• Housing in the immediate area is extremely competitive and expensive — travelers are encouraged to explore options in nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs
