Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in rural Kauai, Hawaii, working across inpatient and outpatient settings including ICU, SNF, and an outpatient PT clinic.

Details

• Work setting spans inpatient (25%) and outpatient (75%) environments, including acute care, ICU, SNF, med/surg, ER, OB, and a hospital-based outpatient PT clinic
• Inpatient responsibilities include acute to SNF mobility progression and discharge planning
• Outpatient caseload covers a broad range of diagnoses requiring thorough and independent clinical decision-making
• Patient load ranges from 5 to 15 patients per day, scheduled every 30–45 minutes with 1-hour slots for new evaluations
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (with a 12:00–1:00 PM lunch break); flexibility in hours may occur
• Saturday availability is required — no exceptions
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Experience across inpatient settings (acute, ICU, SNF) and outpatient PT required
• Active Hawaii PT license required; candidates should obtain licensure as soon as possible if not already held — license required if applicable
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Must be able to work Saturdays without exception
• Ability to practice independently in a rural setting with a comprehensive, patient-centered approach
