Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position in Nashville, TN, requiring critical care expertise and AHA-certified BLS and ACLS credentials.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Critical Care Unit specializing in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Patient population includes cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, MI, CHF, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post-cardiopulmonary arrest, post-ventricular assist device placement, and ECMO patients
• Ages served range from adolescent through late adult (14–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Direct care team consists of RNs and Patient Care Techs
• Day shift: 06:45–19:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN or Compact license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of critical care/ICU nursing experience
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• High-acuity critical care environment serving some of the most critically ill patients in the Nashville area, drawing patients from across Tennessee and beyond
• Primary service lines include cardiothoracic surgery (open heart recovery) and neuro/neurosurgery; ECMO experience is a plus
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test is required
• Nursys license verification and primary source license verification must be current within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Local candidates are accepted, but candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
