Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma and Primary Stroke Center in Wichita, KS, requiring ARRT CT registration and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- 750-bed acute care hospital serving as a Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, with an attached pediatric hospital
- CT department averages approximately 130 scans per day, serving adult and pediatric patients across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings
- Procedures include CT of the head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis; trauma series; CTA of the chest, neck, and abdomen; CTA cardiac studies (Structural Heart program); and CT Head Stroke protocol
- 4 GE scanners (64-slice and above) in use
- EMR: Meditech; PACS: FUJI Synapse
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM with rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, with active experience within the last 6 months required
- ARRT certification with CT registration required
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) license required if applicable
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- GE scanner experience preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Performs a high volume of CT imaging including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and vascular studies in a busy multi-specialty environment
- Night shift staffing typically consists of one to two techs; candidates must be comfortable working with limited on-shift support
- Collaborative team environment with strong interdepartmental relationships
- Black scrubs required; not provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
