Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Southwest Florida, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience including pediatrics and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:30 AM
• No on-call responsibilities required
• EMR: Epic
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary location

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Candidate's driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full demographic information required for consideration, including full date of birth, SSN, and RN license number

Additional Information

• Travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function as core staff
• Orientation begins on a Friday; remote orientation is completed prior to an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID issuance, requiring the candidate to be in the area that day
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after an offer is made
• The facility places strong emphasis on culture fit; candidates should be flexible, collaborative team players
• The 50-mile radius rule is strictly enforced; candidates must not own or be associated with any property within the radius
