Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (6S) position requiring Epic proficiency, neurology/stroke experience, and a valid VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit (6S)
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Telemetry monitoring with a neurology/stroke patient population
• Night shift schedule available as either 3x12 or 4x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required
• Holiday coverage required within the contract period
• Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; prior travel nursing experience also required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• IV insertion skills required
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required
• Clean license and background — no prior license or background hits will be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
