Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience, including ICU background, for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 285 staffed beds
• RRT unit with ICU and CVU patient populations
• Performs Percutaneous Trach Assist and Bronchoscopy Assist procedures
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• 2–3 weekends required per 6-week period
• On-call is required
• No floating required
• Charting via Epic; experience required
• Olive green scrubs required
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an RRT
• ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid MO State License required for consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Additional Information

• Assist with bronchoscopies and percutaneous tracheostomy procedures as part of daily responsibilities
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
