Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience, including ICU background, for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 285 staffed beds
- RRT unit with ICU and CVU patient populations
- Performs Percutaneous Trach Assist and Bronchoscopy Assist procedures
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- 2–3 weekends required per 6-week period
- On-call is required
- No floating required
- Charting via Epic; experience required
- Olive green scrubs required
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Current RRT credential required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an RRT
- ICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Valid MO State License required for consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
- Assist with bronchoscopies and percutaneous tracheostomy procedures as part of daily responsibilities
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break is required
- Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
