Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience, ARRT and ARDMS certifications, and proficiency in general ultrasound and biopsy procedures.
Details
- General ultrasound department in an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Rotating schedule of 36/48 hours per two-week period (alternating weeks of 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts)
- On-call requirement of 2 shifts per week and 2 weekends per month
- Procedures include general ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsy
- GE Logiq ultrasound machine experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
- Active ARRT and ARDMS certifications required
- Active Compact or State license in hand required; license required if applicable
- Proficiency in general ultrasound and biopsy procedures required
- Experience with GE Logiq ultrasound equipment required
- Driver's license with permanent address on file required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 Charge-level or higher and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Orientation is scheduled on a bi-weekly basis
- Travelers must be willing to accept the 36/48 rotating schedule; inability to do so may result in cancellation
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission
- Travelers are required to work at least one major or one minor holiday per contract
- After working for one year within the system, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
- Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
- Any license hits or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
