Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist (Outpatient) with 2+ years of radiology experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment featuring 4x10 day shifts with no call, no nights, and no weekends.
Details
- Outpatient CT imaging setting
- Performs CT exams and procedures as requested by medical staff, including assisting radiologists during exams
- 4x10 hour day shifts with no call, no nights, and no weekends
- Modality: CT (Diagnostic Imaging)
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- Current ARRT and ARRT(CT) registry (or CT registry eligible)
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 2 years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
Additional Information
- Preferred: 1 year of post-graduation experience in trauma radiology
- Responsibilities include completing documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Performs routine quality control inspections and maintenance on the CT scanner per manufacturer and organizational guidelines
- Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives as outlined in the strategic plan
- Role involves continuous exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and potentially infectious environments
