Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist (Outpatient) with 2+ years of radiology experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment featuring 4x10 day shifts with no call, no nights, and no weekends.

• Outpatient CT imaging setting
• Performs CT exams and procedures as requested by medical staff, including assisting radiologists during exams
• 4x10 hour day shifts with no call, no nights, and no weekends
• Modality: CT (Diagnostic Imaging)

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
• Current ARRT and ARRT(CT) registry (or CT registry eligible)
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered

Additional Information

• Preferred: 1 year of post-graduation experience in trauma radiology
• Responsibilities include completing documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
• Performs routine quality control inspections and maintenance on the CT scanner per manufacturer and organizational guidelines
• Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives as outlined in the strategic plan
• Role involves continuous exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and potentially infectious environments
