Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma, academic medical center with 1,000+ beds, requiring ARDMS/RDCS or RCS certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,000+ beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center
- Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, with rotating Saturdays included in the schedule
- Start times may vary slightly depending on assigned location
- 40 hours per week
- Floating required between multiple outpatient and campus locations within approximately a 30-mile radius as needed
- Charting via Epic
- On-call is not required
- Parking is available at a cost of $125/month
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer experience required
- ARDMS, RDCS, or RCS credential required
- Experience at a large trauma center or major acute care facility required
- Current BLS required
- Active state license required prior to start date (pending license accepted for consideration)
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No RTO will be approved for this assignment — this position is intended to provide summer coverage
- RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
- Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
- Scrub colors: Caribbean blue top with black pants
