Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care Magnet-designated hospital in Orange, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work in the Nuclear Medicine department of a 426-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital
  • Performs PET scans in addition to standard nuclear medicine imaging; prior PET experience preferred, but on-site training is available
  • Charting via Epic (experience required)
  • 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM; no weekends or holidays required
  • Optional call shifts available for interested clinicians: M–F 4:30 AM–10:00 PM and Sat–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM with a 60-minute response time
  • Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
  • Active BLS certification required
  • NMTCB or ARRT certification required
  • Active CA state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Orientation shifts are approximately 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for the likely first two weeks
  • Free parking on-site
  • Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
