Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation unit within a regional health center
• 13-bed unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses and treatments include neuro, trauma, burn, gait training/strengthening, and wound vac
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 6 patients
• Lift equipment in use on the unit
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to Med/Surg as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Med/Surg, LTAC, or inpatient rehab background accepted
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Travel experience preferred but not required; first-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required to clear prior to start
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
