Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with acute care and Epic experience for a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Urbana, IL.
Details
- Full-time acute care therapy position in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- One weekend shift required per month
- No holiday shifts required
- No floating required
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois OT license required (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, developing individualized plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
- Performs patient examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint, screening results, and history
- Implements intervention plans utilizing functional activities that address the functional and emotional needs of the patient and family
- Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect patient functional performance
- Provides supervision to COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process, communicating changes in status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition
- Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
- Candidate interviews are conducted by a facility leader
- RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 year continuously must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any of its locations
