Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with acute care and Epic experience for a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Urbana, IL.

Details

Full-time acute care therapy position in a hospital setting
Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
One weekend shift required per month
No holiday shifts required
No floating required
40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Active Illinois OT license required (if applicable)
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, developing individualized plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
Performs patient examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint, screening results, and history
Implements intervention plans utilizing functional activities that address the functional and emotional needs of the patient and family
Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect patient functional performance
Provides supervision to COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory standards
Collaborates with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process, communicating changes in status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition
Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
Candidate interviews are conducted by a facility leader
RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 year continuously must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any of its locations
