Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.

Details

Full-time acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM day shift schedule
40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
One weekend shift required per month
No holiday shifts required
No floating requirements
Epic EMR is required

Requirements

Active Illinois OT license required; temp license accepted if applicable
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required

Additional Information

Evaluates and treats patients of all ages across a broad range of conditions
Designs and adjusts individualized plans of care incorporating goals, interventions, outcomes, and discharge planning
Performs patient screenings and examinations using reliable, evidence-based methods
Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect functional patient performance
Provides education and training to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
Supervises COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary medical team to communicate patient status, transfer recommendations, and discharge disposition
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
Candidates who have previously worked at a Carle Health location may not exceed 1 continuous year on assignment and must take a 6-month break in service before returning
Leader interview is part of the candidate selection process
