Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.
Details
- Full-time acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (day shift)
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- One weekend shift required per month
- No holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages across the acute care continuum
Requirements
- Active Illinois OT license required (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant Occupational Therapy experience
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Evaluates and implements intervention plans utilizing functional activities that address the emotional and functional needs of the patient and family
- Modifies treatment approach based on patient behavior and performance
- Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect patient functional performance
- Collaborates with patients, families, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process and provides family training as needed
- Provides supervision to COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory standards
- Communicates patient performance, status changes, activity and transfer recommendations, and discharge disposition to the medical team
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Interview with facility leadership required as part of the selection process
- RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
