Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience and active TX or compact licensure, with night shift availability.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• Telemetry experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana — a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to and upon arrival, including CBD products
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas wine country — approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
