Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Aurora, CO.

Details

• 350-bed acute care hospital respiratory therapy department with a staff of 38
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Staffing ratio is variable; typical shift includes 1 charge therapist and 5 staff therapists
• Equipment used includes Hamilton G5, Hamilton C1, Hamilton T1, V60, and Vyaire Avea ventilators
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• PEDS, NICU, and PICU experience preferred

Requirements

• Current RRT credential (NBRC) or CRT license
• Minimum 6 months of current acute care RRT hospital experience
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Active state license if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

• Primary responsibilities include ventilator management and airway management
• The ideal candidate is energetic, team-oriented, and places a high priority on patient experience
• First-time travelers will be considered provided they meet the minimum experience requirements
