Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care OR experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in an 11-room OR suite within the main hospital building of an acute care facility in Aurora, CO
- Performs a wide range of surgical procedures including General, Neuro/Spine, Cardiovascular/Thoracic (CVT), Orthopedic, GYN, and Robotics surgeries
- Patient ratio is 2:1
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Call requirements include 1–2 nights per week and 1–2 weekend call shifts per month
- EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital OR RN experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Candidates with charge nurse experience will be given priority consideration by the director
- Meditech EMR experience and precepting experience are preferred
- Ideal candidates are flexible, easy-going, and demonstrate strong communication skills
- Night shift coverage includes on-call trauma, neuro, and heart surgery teams
